The project brief centered on celebrating the character of the existing villa while introducing a substantial addition. Quirky elements such as the original stone water tank and a small outbuilding are retained and integrated into the new design.

Key considerations such as materiality, site orientation, and compliance with CFS guidelines all informed the conceptual approach.
