Kooyonga Golf Club

After winning a Master Plan Competition in 2002, Nelson Architects were engaged to provide full Architectural Services for the complete redevelopment of Kooyonga, a prestigious and world-renowned Golf Club.

Substantial demolition of the 1970’s extensions revealed remnants of the original 1923 Club House and provided many logistical challenges to maintain facilities for the clubs’ members and staff throughout construction.

The project required detailed stakeholder engagement and numerous committee and client presentations. Works were staged over several years and included new clubhouse facilities, pro shop, locker rooms, greenkeepers facilities and a state of the art golf training academy.
