Mt Barker Central

Nelson Architects worked closely with the client and tenants to establish staged and fully costed concept designs to create what has become mount Barker’s largest and most successful shopping centre. Starting out as a Bi-Lo supermarket with strip shopping the centre has been completely transformed with a Coles supermarket, Kmart discount department store and fully enclosed mall with over 65 specialty shops.

The project commenced in 1999 with the final stage of development being completed in 2019. Nelson Architects continue to provide a specialty shops architect role to review, approve, and coordinate tenancy fit-outs.
